In a Republic, actually
“A Missouri law banning local police from enforcing federal gun laws is unconstitutional and void, a federal judge ruled Tuesday.

U.S. District Judge Brian Wimes ruled the 2021 law is preempted by the federal government under the U.S. Constitution’s supremacy clause.”

Very good.

The law is more ridiculous rightwing political theater.

I can't say this surprises me. The Missouri law that counters federal overreach and unlawful regulations under the 2nd amendment was struck down using the federal supremacy clause and not on the basis of merit. The judge punted the real question on federal overreach and unlawful laws by the Biden administration. This one will be going to SCOTUS on appeal and clarification by the Missouri AG.

Interesting decision, and one that might bite Liberal Sanctuary Cities in the ass. If local police have to enforce federal gun laws, why aren't they required to enforce federal laws against Illegal Aliens. Or Federal Grass Laws, for that matter.

Printz v US
1. The Brady Act's interim provision commanding CLEOs to conduct background checks, §922(s)(2), is unconstitutional. Extinguished with it is the duty implicit in the background check requirement that the CLEO accept completed handgun applicant statements (Brady Forms) from firearms dealers

Congress cannot force states to enforce federal law; in that light it is difficult, at best, to see how a state law which prohibits state LEOs from enforcing federal law violates the constitution.

I'm sure the appeal will bear this out.

Doesn't that make all legalization of federally banned drugs Unconstitutional?

And any law protecting illegal aliens Unconstitutional?

Your not cognoscente of the Tenth Amendment and nullification of federal laws which violate the US Constitution. "shall not be infringed" is not ambiguous in any way.
Read the Constitution.
Take a class on the Constitution.
Fact check the conspiracy theories you love.

Funny shit the judge is wrong. Unconstitutional laws can not be enforced.
