There's a nuance that many underestimate:
Trump deliberately launched the war on a weekend, when the stock market is closed.
If we assume that Trump knows in advance that the Republicans will lose the election this fall, then this is a trade-off of initially poor political prospects for money right now.
That is, Trump and his accomplices are stealing several billion for themselves right now through stock market speculation, and then six months later, they lose the election with a much worse result.
But if we assume that the Republicans would have lost the election anyway, then Trump is simply "cashing out" the remnants of his political influence right now.

And then he kills several hundred children, so that in a couple of years, he can die with eleven billion dollars in his account instead of ten.

You do understand the cause of so much angst by the Left with Trump attacking Iran:

1. He got it all done completely without any help, input, knowledge, permission nor involvement from democrats.
2. So when it goes over a glowing success, they can claim absolutely no political capital and credit out of putting away the #1 world terror organization, something no democrat would get done in 1000 years.

That leaves them no choice now but to denounce the whole thing as illegal and criminal because procedure and process matter more to democrats than results.

NEXT UP: They try to impeach Trump for saving the world. I mean, in one fell swoop, Trump has nullified the core reason for eternal conflict in the Middle East, while at the same time, putting a knife in the side of China. Oh yeah, he also just freed 92 million people and punished a group of monsters guilty of crimes against humanity.
