They diversified because the government started Pell grants and others. and took over student loans. And began throwing out loans like candy in a parade. As well as the grants.
That created an entire industry of colleges that only exist because of so much government free money. Despite - the percentage of failed students and dropouts catapulted.
There are universities, if that is what you want to call them, that have a student body with over 90% receiving government money - with a graduation rate less than 5%. And yet - the government money not only keeps flowing - but increasing.
THAT - is liberalism 101.
Absolutely refusing to acknowledge failed policies, no matter how bad they fail. They don't just keep supporting them - they double/triple down on it because to say it failed - is to say they failed.

Yes, you can get a CDL even if you don’t now have a license
Welding, plumbing, HVAC, Electricians

Don’t jump to the conclusion that they won’t make it though medical school. Medical schools, like all schools, are admitting blacks who would have been rejected if white at a ratio of 2:1. (IOW, only 1/3rd of blacks in medical school would have qualified even if white.)

Then the medical schools are determined not to let the under-qualified blacks (and Latinos, as well), to fail out. So they hold their hands all the way through, investing lots of money in tutors to push them through.

This unfair admission system hurts two groups:

1) the whites with superior scores and grades who were rejected for being white

2) the 1 out of 3 blacks who actually qualified under the higher “white cut-off,” who will be assumed to be among the majority who got in due to AA.

It also hurts the future patients of those who became doctors due to their race and not ability.
