Describing the United States as an "advanced Third World country," longtime consumer advocate and former presidential candidate Ralph Nader calls for a new mass movement to challenge the power corporations have in Washington. "It is not too extreme to call our system of government now 'American Fascism.' It's the control of government by big business, which Franklin Delano Roosevelt defined in 1938 as fascism," Nader says.

So you can drive thousands of people into unemployment, and still have hundreds of jobs in engineering, or technical jobs, or nurses and doctors, or lawyers and accountants that all need filled.
Do those thousands of unemployed people have a human right to shelter and food, or do you prefer a Herbert Hoover's "trickle down" approach to capitalism's many inherent failures?
Hoover did not provide emergency loans to banks because of trickle down. Trickle down, isn't even an economic theory. Just made up crap by left-wingers who have never learned anything about economics.

The Federal Reserve did reduce the supply of money. I find it ironic that you mention that, since left-wingers like yourself, have pushed socialist views that somehow government would do a good job with education and health care.

The whole problem with the Federal Reserve is that it is impossible for one person, or one group of people, to know all there is to know about the economy, and act perfectly in response. The Federal Reserve really thought that the actions they were taking, was what they should do. And they were wrong, as government usually is.

But you want these people in charge of decided whether or not you really need an operation? Why do you think Canada has rules that if you are too old, that you can't get elective surgeries? Because someone has to make that call, and Canadians gave that power to government.

Regardless of the nonsense you posted, most of, if not all of the programs FDR engaged in, were pioneered under Hoover. Hoover was very active in responding to the recession, and eventual depression.

Do those thousands of unemployed people have a human right to shelter and food, or do you prefer a Herbert Hoover's "trickle down" approach to capitalism's many inherent failures?

Who is going to provide the slave labor, to make a house, so you can live somewhere for free?

If you don't believe in slavery, then you don't believe in a human right to shelter, or food, or anything else.

And by the way, that belief is giving people free stuff, like a human right to shelter, is exactly why California has a crisis right now. That's your socialist idiocy being played out.

Hoover's big government socialist response, is what caused, and dragged out the great depression.

I preferred Calvin Coolidges "trickle down" (a made up lie of the left), that resulted in the roaring 20s.

So making a cell phone and selling it is the equivalent of dealing heroin? How is selling you a cell phone "exploiting" you?
Are you truly this ignorant of the world around you?
You would rather those child starve to death?

Most of the places in this world, where they still have child labor, are places where they are so poor, that you either work, or you die.

You are saying you would rather those child die? That's your big solution? Just let them all starve to death?

You haven't actually been, or known anyone who was, or have even supported a real on the ground charity to a third world country..... have you?

There are places in this world today, that have electricity for only 3 hours a day.

Describing the US as an advanced third world country, is the most ignorant and brain damaged claim I've ever heard.

This is why I fully support forced expulsion of people who hate the US. I would love to round you people up, and force you to live in a 3rd world country for just 3 months. You live there for 3 months, and then you can come back.

Just three months, you would be begging to come back to the US, and work McDonald's for minimum wage.

How do I know this? Because people come here from those countries, and work McDonald's, and think they are in Utopia compared to where they came from.

I was just watching a video of a guy pulled out of the sea on a raft, and he was laying on the floor of the rescue boat, and the reporter asked why he did this, and his only response was "either kill me or take me somewhere else. Don't send me back".

And here you are, being a whiny spoiled brat. Those 3rd world people would spit on your face for acting this way, and talking like that about America.

They would exist even less without Government libraries.
Billionaires acquire their wealth by taking more from society than they contribute.

No, wealth isn’t created at the top. It is merely devoured there | Rutger Bregman

"This piece is about one of the biggest taboos of our times.

"About a truth that is seldom acknowledged, and yet – on reflection – cannot be denied.

"The truth that we are living in an inverse welfare state."
Billionaires acquire their wealth by taking more from society than they contribute.

That's actually not possible. It's idiotic statements like that, which is how really stupid people like AOC can get elected.

You have to be a complete and total moron to make that claim.

Tim Cook of Apple, has a net worth of $1 Billion dollars.

Apple Computer has built and sold over $274 Billion dollars worth of product world wide this year.... and the year isn't over yet.

Tim Cook has been CEO for 9 years.

By even the most conservative of estimates, Apple has produced trillions of dollars wealth and products world wide.

Tim Cook again, only $1 Billion dollars net worth.

And by the way a large portion of that isn't even money. It's stock in the company. So only a fraction of that $1 Billion net worth is actually money. The rest is stock, which takes nothing from consumers that buy his products.

To claim that the wealthy take more wealth from society, than they create, is so utterly ridiculous as to make you like a raving lunatic in an asylum somewhere.

And it is exactly this stupidity, that has resulted in every single country with your ideology, to end up in ruins.

You show me a country with no rich people, and I'll show you a country with starvation poverty and ruins.

There would be a 10 year waiting list, your cell phone would cost you $1000 a month for 100 minutes and your internet would use your TRS-80 and a 16K connection for an hour a day.
Your cable would have 3 channels for 12 hours a day. And they'd all be RT.
I agree with that. Stealing food is wrong, and if you own the food and it's your food, you are not compelled to give it to others.

Have you seen how it works without capitalism?

Screenshot_2020-12-01 Venezuela starvation - Google Search.png

Venezuela abolished capitalism.... now there is no food.

Good job. Now you don't have to work about one person starving when they refuse to work. Now you can work all you want, and still starve to death.

Well done skippy

Universal Income is Satanic and from The UN. Do not fall in to this baited trap which will lead to the oppression of many.

These Policies Could Move America Toward a Universal Basic Income
What happens when 12 weeks paid medical leave results in lower over all wages?

You do know that employers base how much they pay on the total cost of employment right?

In order to pay you, when you are gone for 12 weeks.... they have to pay you less during the year. That's where they get the money to pay you for not working, is by paying you less when you do.

This is why wages are higher in the US, than in Europe.

I told you before, no company has a magic money tree to pay employees with. Every single dollar a company pays out in benefits, or wages or anything, has to come from either paying employees less, or charging customers more.

For a benefit like this, in order to pay you 12 weeks for not working, they will pay you less for your wages.

This is what is ironic when people post that graph about how wages have not increased with productivity... yeah, because if you get months on months of vacation, that has to come out of your pay check. Same with 12 weeks you want here.

I reject any childrens allowance. This encourages people to have kids, when they don't want them, and ends up with welfare queens having 6 kids, and demanding others pay for them.

I don't want more public leeches like her. No children allowance.

$12/hour minimum wage will result in those people being unemployed. All of those claims, assume magically, that everyone will keep their jobs, and benefit from the higher wage.

Yet every single time throughout all the world, when the minimum wage goes up, people lose their jobs.

No, billionaires are created by us, the consumer. Do you think Bill Gates was always a billionaire? He made his first computer in his garage.
Bill was born into a family rich enough to give him access to ten thousands hours of computer programming instruction BEFORE he went to Harvard. He and Paul Allen used the politically constructed laws and institutions specifically designed by previous generations of US capitalists to acquire their billion$

Consider the size of Microsoft today.
Roughly 156,000 employees.
A one trillion$ market cap.
Bill Gates does a fraction of one percent of the daily work at Microsoft, yet he extorts a much larger proportion of the profits because of how rich capitalists constructed our current political economy.
He is a parasite on society.
Right, and he built the company, from just himself, and one other guy.

If you build something yourself, you get to reap rewards for it.

Bill Gates maybe does a fraction of 1% of the daily work at Microsoft today, but when he started, he did 50% or more. He was the one sleeping on the couch at the office, because he didn't have an apartment and was working all the time.

Just like Bezo was hand shipping books in the early days too.

Between you and Gates, you are more of a parasite than Bill Gates is.

I do not give Bill Gates a single dollar of my money, unless he gives me a product that I consider worth that dollar.

But you are taking money out of my paycheck, by living off the government.

You are a blood sucking tick on the butt of America, not Bill Gates.

his is what you're asking for. You gave all these rich people your money for Big Mac's, cell phones, Whoppers, gasoline, cable television, computers, internet, a printer, and now want that money back while keeping the product you now have that made them wealthy.

You don't see the unfairness of this?
Do you honestly believe we would have no Big Macs, cellphones, Whoppers, or gasoline without billionaires?

This is the unfairness I believe represents our biggest threat because of its malignant effect on democracy:

The 1 Percent Are Cheating Us Out of a Quarter-Trillion Dollars in Taxes Every Year

"'With the money that these tax cheats owe, this year alone, we could fund tuition-free college for all, eliminate child hunger, ensure clean drinking water for every American household, build half a million affordable housing units, provide masks to all, produce the protective gear and medical supplies our health workers need to combat this pandemic, and fully fund the U.S. Postal Service,' said Senator Bernie Sanders, who requested the CBO study. 'That is an absolute outrage, and this report should make us take a long, hard look at what our national priorities are all about.'"
Do you honestly believe we would have no Big Macs, cellphones, Whoppers, or gasoline without billionaires?

Well... let's try an experiment.

List all of the products that were created, produced, and sold..... without a single rich person?

If you really think you can create products like we have today, without being rich... feel free to try. Let's see you do it.

So I'm more than happy to give the millionaires and billionaires my money. They make my life enjoyable, convenient and comfortable so I don't have to live like the Amish.
Hundreds of millions of workers/consumers make your comfortable life possible; the billionaires are less useful than the Amish in that regard.
Funny, since many of the products that make my life better, come from billionaires.

Seems like what you claim isn't true.

Do tell.... if you don't need wealthy people to make US quality products..... show me what country that has no wealthy, that makes US quality products? Do tell, what ground breaking innovations have come out of Venezuela in the last 15 years?

Our side is the correct side and I'll tell you why: Our country is relatively new. We've only been around a few hundred years. Compared to societies that have been around for thousands of years, we became the worlds super power in that short time. We became the most successful, the wealthiest, the strongest in the entire world, and we didn't do that with socialism or communism. We did it with capitalism.
We did it with slavery and genocide, remember?
Your lifestyle and mine has stemmed, to a large degree, from the murder, maiming, and displacement of millions of innocent human beings over the last 75 years. Look at Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, and Libya today. It is the US dollar's global reserve status that underpins our lifestyles, and it is the US military war crimes that backstop the US dollar. MAGA?
No, all of what you said was false.

Even slavery, as I have proven before, didn't make the US wealthy. In fact it caused the areas with high levels of slavery to be poor.

Why do you think free-states were wealthy, and slave states like Alabama, are poor? If slavery is why we have a high standard of living, shouldn't Alabama be the economic capital of the US?

It's just not true. All lies.

there is no other USA to move back to. There is only one, and that's us. Once this place is gone, it's gone forever. That's what we on the right are trying to prevent.
There is no other country on the planet capable of replacing the US that isn't an authoritarian nightmare; Russia and China are probably the only two contenders. That doesn't mean the billionaires and their political hacks aren't taking the US down that same road. You might be happy celebrating American Exceptionalism, but I see it more and more as a threat to all humanity.
You remind me of Jordan Peterson's lecture on how people rarely have ideas, but ideas tend to have people, and you can tell which are which, because when confronted with endless counter evidence they keep parroting the same response.

This is what you have been doing this whole thread.

Russia and China both, in the name of equality and socialism, have slaughtered roughly 60 million people each.

When Socialist north Vietnam invaded the south, they slaughtered tens of thousands of civilians without even having a reason. Some even said they killed anyone who wore glasses, because glasses were 'western'. So for the crime of being able to see, they were put to death.

And here you are, blindly, ignorantly, parroting the socialist left-wing idiocy that the United States is the threat to humanity.

Again, this is why I would support forced expulsion of people who hate the US. I would love to see your sorry whiny butt sent to an anti-capitalist country, and see what your ideals played out, really look like.

America is fascist, but precisely because it has adopted the kinds of policies that you endorse. The last thing we need is more Nader style fascism. Turds like Nader want corporations to be an extension of the government. That's what fascism is.

Biggest Troll Thread in the History of USMB.

Mods could care less.
But don't dare report Voter Fraud. Your post will end up in The Rubber Room or Flame Zone.

According to The Mods, this is Rubber Room material.

I'm surprised to find out that I am only 7/10ths of a person, according to Democrat Fraud Machines used in The 6 states that cheated.

Dr Shiva from MIT just proved Vote Swapping Live on TV at The Arizona Hearing.

130% of Democrats voted for Biden vs. -30% voted for Trump.

If you are a Republican, you are only 7/10ths of a person.

Based on the revelation from MIT Scientist Dr. Shiva, that Dominion Machines swapped votes counting Trump votes at 7/10ths of a vote, and Biden votes as 1.3 votes, here are the actual legal vote totals for the 2020 Election using this projection.

President Trump 98,028,452 votes
Joe Biden 56,161,000
