I don't pretend to be an aficionado on military security but if these bases I'm reading and hearing about in the news are as important as they claim to be and they are aware that unidentified and sophisticated military style drones have been observing them by violating the airspace above them how is it that they are still flying?

I would expect that any unidentified flying object near a highly sensitive military base would be shot down out of the air almost immediately with no questions asked.

Maybe it's just me.

You have no way of identifying Who / Where they come from.
They could just as likely be your own as a means of whipping up anxiety /fear and /or creating "war fever"
.
Do you recall the mystery UAPs and Drones around November '24 and centered on the New Jersey area ?
All "home made" and a likely Psy Op test run .

Good God man.

Even I know it is illegal to shoot at airborne craft, so says the FAA. That's why you'll go to prison if you shoot a small drone with a shotgun, flying over your yard watching you while you take a piss.

Anything over a military installation gets taken out immediately. FAFO. You can't give these people the Mr. Rogers treatment like the Dems. do.

It pisses me off. If we are electronic and technological leaders, how can we not have the heads up on drone technology? I saw one army guy rationalize drones flying over surveying his base by saying that they did not interfere in any base operations so they just kind wrote them off?!

Step One: Simple solution, all drones made and operated within the USA should have a unique transponder code identifying who they are, giving the military a backdoor to access them and shut them down if necessary remotely, plus, bases should put out a transponder code that disallows drones from operating from within say 5 mi of the base. If you try to light one up closer than that, the drone will not even start.

Good thoughts from great intentions, but honest truth, even I could circumvent that kind of technology.

We really need drone interception and destroy technology to eliminate any threats, no matter what technology they are using.
