7.9% Unemployment. Being that it's an average, there are many places where that number exceeds 10%... Good times indeed.

Opposing Authoritarian Ideological Fundamentalism.
.

Higher growth than expected, previous numbers revised upward. Real estate prices increasing, manufacturing looking a little stronger.

An uneven, slow recovery to be sure, but the damage was (and remains) historic. The partisan ideologues can play their games, but it's nice to at least see us heading in the right direction.

(watch this) Are we closer to recession than recovery at this point?

Well its good that UE is improving but 7.9 ain't much to brag about.

It is better though and I'm glad to see it.

Can you righties all admit that your hysterics last month were just that, hysterics?

More jobs were added this month and the last two months were also revised up, despite all the predictions on here by the consthat they'd be revised down, but the unemployment rate jumped up .1% this month. The jobs added and the unemployment rate aren't based on the same surveys and they aren't always going to jive with each other.

Obama in 2004 Criticized Job Growth Under Bush

President Obama said today’s jobs numbers are a ”step in the right direction,” but it’s a very different message than one Republicans are pointing to in a 2004 radio address from Barack Obama, then running for U.S. Senate from Illinois. Then he blasted President Bush on the state of the economy even though there were many more jobs created and a much lower unemployment rate.

“For the past few weeks, President Bush and members of his administration have traveled the nation to celebrate recent improved economic statistics. Well, I’ve been traveling too, all over this large and diverse state. In cities and suburbs, downstate and upstate, I’ve heard from people who say it’s way too early to claim victory when it comes to our economy,” Obama says in the Democrats’ radio address from June 26, 2004.

FLASHBACK: WATCH HERE

Republicans point out the economy at that point was in a different situation and then-President Bush was touting the good numbers: the economy added 310,000 jobs and unemployment was at 5.6 percent.

WHAT????? Say what?????????? LIBERALS SLAMMED BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH for 5.6 % unemployment and 310,000 new jobs.. BUT 8% AVERAGE UNEMPLOYMENT under their messiah for all 4 years and THINGS ARE GREAT!! Hopey changey is awesome!

YOU LIBRUL ZOMBIES ARE the forums joke!

Using the workforce participation rate we used the day Obama took office, the unemployment rate would be about 11%.

Please explain how this is not one of, if not THE WORST recoveries in our Nation's history.
