"Rescue Tug" is how it's called, it's more properly classified as an auxiliary or utility vessel. It was used to transport equipment and personnel to Snake Island. It had a Tor M2 SAM system on the aft deck. It was resupplying Snake Island- it was a legitimate target and a valuable one.

There were also 2 other damaged vessels that night. A Buyan-M class missile corvette, probably Velikiy Ustyug was photographed being towed up the Volga with a pusher tug helping. The radar gear was gone, and it was pretty shot up on the port side. Looked like there was a fire aft.

Also a video emerged of a Bora Class missile corvette being towed to Sevastopol. These are surface effect vessels.

Both of those missile boats have been shooting Kalibr cruise missiles at Ukrainian cities.

And a clip of a really huge series of explosions that were over the horizon, and who knows what that was about.

Are you slow? The rescue tug was used to resupply Russian troops on the Snake Island.

I did not say the tug was firing missiles. The tug was a resupply vessel for Snake Is. It was designed for a crew of 26 and to carry 33 troops plus supplies. It was a Russian Naval vessel, not a civilian tugboat.

The Bora and Buyan-M class corvettes were the ones firing the missiles.

The Russians using Kilo submarines for that now, which are a lot harder to target. The rest of the fleet are keeping close to Sevastapol.
