Let me give you some "rude" awakening - mate.
Why do you "think" the USA deployed Pershing2 in the 80'ies in Germany and Europe??? Just to balance (which they never did) those SS20/22's - or to additionally secure and confine a possible nuclear confrontation with the Soviet-Union to Europe. As they had always planed, despite all their direct sabre rattling with the Soviets.

He simply sold out Europe via retracting US nukes from Italy and Turkey - so as to get Soviet nukes out of Cuba.
And for exactly this reason - the Soviets then came up with the intermediate nuke strategy towards Europe.
The USA "sacrificing" its boys for the sake of Europe - don't make me laugh.
Americans died to "liberate" Europe from the Nazis - that was the biggest joke by far, the USA simply knew that the Austrian was a deadly threat to them - and therefore logically went in to get rid of him.
During my 20 years Bundeswehr service, I also happened to serve a couple of years in a German Pershing 1 unit - and Luftwaffe nuclear capable forces. Therefore I knew exactly as to where the targets of these and other US nuclear weapons were planed for - NONE of them onto the Soviet-union.
The US had ALWAYS solely kept their strategic nuclear forces as a deterrent against a possible Russian nuclear attack onto the USA, in case the Russians getting hammered in Europe, would have tried to apply pressure directly onto the USA.
And Putin is proofing it to be correct - upon threatening Europe with a nuclear strike, (article 5) and the USA under Trump is publicly weaseling out of it's "propagated" commitment - and is now calling the shit they solely stirred up, a European problem, that needs to be solved by Europe. Whilst talking Cock&Bull about the USA having paid for NATO aka Europe's defense.
At least Biden tried his best to confine this war to Ukraine, so as not to get the US into the firing line.
BTW, MAGA's don't want peace - they simply expect others to die for their agenda and benefit. Just as the Democrats and Republicans before, who however never made their true intentions public.
Same as they got the RSA (my former home-country) to get involved in Angola to do their dirty business - and upon Reagan getting into business with Gorbachev and the collapse of the Soviet-Union became evident - they dropped and betrayed the RSA. Exactly as Trump is now doing it with Ukraine, whilst expecting some fancy business deals with Russia.
And don't get me wrong, I am not blaming the USA to solely take care for themselves and their own agenda. However just because they pocketed most of Europe's politicians since 1945 - doesn't mean that the USA can sell the European population for stupid.

And the "participating countries" haven't agreed onto anything so far - just talking. Since both the UK and France believe that loud-mouthing about Ukraine would help them to replace Germany - that doesn't have a workable government so far - as being the economic/political leader of the EU. It's a pure political power game within the EU - that has no bearing onto Ukraine.
But do tell me, how many peacekeepers would it take according to your opinion, to "effectively" secure a 3000km front-line?
And how much would that cost per year?? - you are a dreamer - mate.
