The dirty little secret is that the ONLY reason the Revolution was successful was that it was led by rich and educated men who laid the foundation for a post government free from the British crown.

Luckily, their goal was not to take all the rich folk and murder them and take their loot, like what happened in France in the French Revolution, because that led to despotism and Napolean. Luckily, their focus was actual freedom.

And lastly, these "rich Founders" put their wealth and very lives on the line challenging the British crown. They actually favored freedom over maintaining the status quo and their wealth. In fact, many after the Revolution had financial problems because of it.

I could see AOC leading the French Revolution, but not the American Revolution.
