Violent offenders who can't get guns can't go on shooting rampages.

We should probably work on that.

The fact is, the US locks up more people than any country in the world, including Red China (which is a Communist Dictatorship with five times as many people). If "Locking them all up" was a solution, we'd be there by now.

But the reality. We lock up 2 million people, we have another 7 million on probation or parole, and we have 70 million who have some kind of police record.
