Is America "Demo cracy"???
Carlson on Monday drove home an argument that has lingered on the fringes of the conservative movement for some time — that the United States and the West invited this war with their support for admitting Ukraine into NATO, a step that Russia finds unacceptable.
To be clear, the idea that NATO expansion into countries such as Ukraine is provocative and might even be a bad idea is not a fringe position; it has long been espoused, dating to prominent, establishment foreign policy voices in the 1990s. But Carlson took things a good few conspiratorial steps further, arguing that the push for NATO was deliberately intended to provoke this war.
Carlson said it was “obvious” that “getting Ukraine to join NATO was the key to inciting war with Russia.” He noted that Vice President Harris was sent to Europe as Russia massed troops on Ukraine’s borders and that she said, “I appreciate and admire President [Volodymyr] Zelensky’s desire to join NATO.”
He’s right. All you need to do is look at a map to see why this is happening. Putin is an evil and genocidal leader, as are many other dictators and authoritarian rulers in the world, and Ukraine is the most corrupt country in Europe (as the Democrats kept telling us during the Trump impeachment), but Biden is to blame for all of this.
Instead of the brain dead imbecile constantly being told what to do and say, he should have showed some spine / leadership and got NATO and the Ukrainians together to agree that Ukraine will never be part of NATO. Having Ukraine part of NATO is equivalent to having Mexico become a subservient state to one of our enemies such as Iran, and we would not allow it either.
Plus, the catastrophic Afghanistan withdrawal showed the world that Biden is weak, incompetent and has no idea what he’s doing, in other words as predicted back then, a green light to all our enemies to go ahead and make their moves. People talk about the Ukrainians embarassing Putin (so far), but don’t forget how Biden embarrassed this country and turned his back on our military, Americans, and the Afghan people.
So after all the unnecessary bloodshed and loss of life, destruction, and suffering by both Ukrainians and Russians, we are probably going to arrive at a much worse place than what we should have agreed to from the beginning: Ukraine won‘t be part of NATO, Russia will have occupied / annexed more of Ukraine with its forces still in parts of Ukraine, and there will be an East vs West military stand-off similar to North and South Korea in parts of Ukraine.
The Biden presidency is an epic failure in every way possible, and he should be removed from office, but unfortunately for the country and the world, Kamala Harris has proven herself to be even more of an idiot and far worse than Biden. Elections do have consequences. Let’s go Brandon!
