I did not excuse violence during a protest in any way. I did point out how this is a false equivalency. One is riots that happened during protests over an undeniable case of police brutality that happened outside political parties. The other is an insurrection that occurred after months of claims of election fraud by the sitting president, without evidence. After a rally, HE organized at the place HE told them to go.
