Trump: We'll be the party of healthcare

Uh, yes he did. His plan passed in the house. It was authored. It was amended. It went through all the committee's and made it to the house floor. There it was passed and sent to the senate.
That's a long drawn out process for not having a plan.
So, what was the plan?

So, what was the plan?
His is mistakenly referring to the BCRA of 2017. It never got a vote.

It was basically taking a hatchet to Medicare and repealing the ACA. Not much more.

Mitch knew it would get Republicans tossed out of office. So he voted on the "skinny repeal" bill that just repealed the ACA.

At this point, Trump can pretty much turn the party into what ever he wants it to be. The party that's OK with a national healthcare plan. The party that doesn't mind their 2A getting infringed upon. The party that's OK with abortions.

I'm just wondering if the republicans even realize how far left of center Trump is taking them. As a fiscal conservative, I can see it. And even more worrisome, why is the left still upset with Trump? He was and will be the best president the left could ask for.

Didn't Trump say "who knew healthcare would be hard" in 2016?

No ... Trump is dumb and disgusting.

The reduction in their taxes from what they paid for health insurance doesn't mean they got reimbursed by the government for all they spent on insurance. They still had to dish out all that money for insurance. Then it only reduced their taxes a small percentage.
Example: One employee's insurance cost the company $5,000 per year. They would only get about a $500 reduction in their taxes.
no, that's incorrect. An employer may deduct all it pays for an employee's fringe benefits, just as salary. The one exception was the much hyped, and seldom found, "Cadillac" plans. Trump and the gop pretty much changed the entire tax framework that paid for most of obamacare, so I don't know how those are treated today. Most of the taxes were levied upon doctors and providers who gained new patients. But the gop repealed those, and the progs were more about just sending deficit dollars to Americans to spend on more shit.

(And again, I was more in favor of the Bennett Wyden approach of ending employer tax breaks and instead putting the money that would be gained if employers didn't have the tax break, and sending it to taxpayers in the form of a tax credit to be used to purchase priv insurance.)

How about just a tax credit to buy health care? Let them decide whether insurance is the best way to spend it or not.

Trying to manipulate society with tax policy is what got us into this mess.

Well, NOW you're advocating more libertarianism? LOL

Look we're both worldly enough to know that only multi-millionaries can fund their own individual healthcare.

Not sure what that has to do with my post, but ok.

I have funded my own since The ACA caused my premiums to quadruple.

It's not even been difficult.

The plan is in english. It's just too long and boring to read. Especially since it didn't pass the senate. But you stated Trump didn't have a plan. The bill proves he did.

Yep. Trump said he was going to fix healthcare in 2016. Then he said "who knew it would be so hard".
