I understand Trump and Bondi stopping the release of the Epstein files with Trump mentioned....especially if they show some involvement in Epstein's decrepitness or even just turning a blind eye to it...or just his near daily encounters with him can be embarrassing after the whole push by him in his campaign to release the Epstein files and his going after Clinton....to what? Distract from himself?

But mainly Trump's connection should probably be better not said, I think the President would be weakened on the world stage, even moreso....and I don't think that would necessarily be good for us.... Although the saying goes, "The truth shall set you free!"

So my post was a (hopefully) obvious joke, and I appreciate you seeing it as such, but when you think about it there is an odd contrast at play here; the people that want the Epstein files to be true are essentially rooting for the abuse of countless children, teenagers, etc.

I'm all in favor that if bad people are caught doing bad things they should absolutely be punished. My stance is like what was said in JFK, 'let justice be done though the heavens fall.' We shouldn't avoid where the evidence takes us because it may affect people in positions of power... but I'm not really sure we should be rooting for it either.
