The disclosure aligns with concerns expressed by U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi and others that figures in the periphery of Epstein’s abuse may become ensnared if the government releases tranches of new documents in the case.
By offering up the evidence, Maxwell has laid all her cards on the table, making good on a promise to deliver new information to the DOJ in exchange for consideration around a reduced sentence. She is currently serving 20 years for grooming hundreds or thousands of underage girls Jeffrey Epstein later abused over decades.
