Maybe he should go talk to the anti-gun loons and ask them for their advice on how to legally ignore the constitution.Good luck with that. Someone tell the moron that an executive order ain't gonna get it. He needs a Constitutional amendment, and he ain't gonna get that either!
You might have a point but since TRUMP is gonna be a Dictator you don't.![]()

The president-elect's day one plans include an executive order to narrow the scope of birthright citizenship, rewriting the 14th Amendment.www.msnbc.com

Bigly!!!
That's actually in Phyler, but the SC case saying Trump cannot do this without amending the const or getting the SC to throw out 150 years of precedent .... wong kim ark. And you can googel that yourself.Would it be silly to ask you for a citation?
The court in wong kim ark did not say a Constitutional Amendment was necessary. They interpreted the phrase "subject to the jurisdiction" in one way. Why can't the current SC interpret it differently? That's actually in Phyler, but the SC case saying Trump cannot do this without amending the const or getting the SC to throw out 150 years of precedent .... wong kim ark. Well, they could. But generally, you just don't get do overs. Roe fell because the SC overturned the rational for a fundamental right. In wong kim ark, the SC had to give effect to the 14th being created to prevent another class of stateless workers. WE had jim crow and sharecropping nonetheless. The court in wong kim ark did not say a Constitutional Amendment was necessary. They interpreted the phrase "subject to the jurisdiction" in one way. Meaning build the wall, deploy the military and institute same day arrival deportation? If we just control the border, it will largely be a moot point anyway.
Don't see how that really helps.Well, they could. But generally, you just don't get do overs. Roe fell because the SC overturned the rational for a fundamental right. What congress MIGHT try is creating a law that does not allow US corporations to just import workers whose children born here are never citizens.
That's not legal under the 14th and wong. Not that Trump might not try it for a diversion.Don't see how that really helps.
All Trump has to do is tell the Social Security Administration to not issue SS numbers to children unless at least one of the parents show they are in the country legally.

He'll deport the non-citizen parent(s) and give them the option to take the kids with them,my guess is he'll try to rewrite wong, and deport kids who are citizens
Whatever it takes, within reason.Meaning build the wall, deploy the military and institute same day arrival deportation?
SureWhatever it takes, within reason.
That he legally can do. But we're stuck with the parentless kids. He'll deport the non-citizen parent(s) and give them the option to take the kids with them,
