Well, no tears will be shed if the Cuban government falls. It has been on life support for years. However, I would expect that once it does and there is no replacement, there may be millions of Cubans who will jump on slapdashed boats and head to the US. What do they have to lose? It will make Mariel look like a trickle.

There is a solution to Cuba. Almost all Cubans here in the US are staunch republicans. I say we just take Cuba and turn it into one big resort. Then, we let in all the Cubans to the US, expedite their citizenship and settle them in a deep blue city, like Philly. I had a Cuban girlfriend while in college. Smart as hell, extremely hard working and she went on to get a Ph.D. at Harvard. Contrast that with the Somalians.
