I was at a gun show in Atlanta recently. Being in Atlanta, it attracts all sorts. There are the typical white gun enthusiasts. There are the young black with their pants around their ankles. There are black gansta types, then there are foreigners. It is not like this all over Georgia. This eclectic mix is an Atlanta thing. I only go to the Atlanta shows because they are the largest ones. Like all events where there are blacks present, the smell of pot floated heavily in the air. It was disgusting.

But this post is not about the blacks. It is about illegal aliens. I was there by myself, cruising up and down the aisles. At one point I come across a table where the patrons present were several south-of-the-border types. There was Enrique, Pablo, Pedro, Maria, etc... Like some other ethnic groups, they feel the need to travel in packs. The muchachos in the group were interest in some cheap, sh*t polymer striker-fired crappers, like HiPoint or Canik or the like. I kept on walking and looking at stuff. As an aside, it is rare that I find anything at this particular show. It is in South Atlanta, very large, and occurs a couple times each year. The shows on the northside of town are usually much better, and much less diverse.

Eventually, I come back around to the table where the Mexicans are. I overhear the vender and the Mexicanos talking. The seller was trying to explain to the buyer why he could not sell him a gun. It was because he was an illegal alien. The guy was not too happy, but there you go. I kept on walking, hoping that the Mexicans would walk away. I did not thereafter hear any commotion, so I guess they did.

The seller did the right thing. And why wouldn't he? He could lose his license and means to earn a living over what? A $300.00 sale?!? However, the illegal appeared to me to be attempting to break our laws, giving rise to a criminal charge of attempt. Hopefully, the seller contacted law enforcement and reported the incident.

B-b-b-but according to some, you don't even have to produce ID to buy a gun.
:icon_rolleyes:

Good report. Only one small bone to pick: Caniks aren't on a level with HiPoint. They're excellent firearms, made in Turkey by an ISO 9000 company. Extremely high quality.

LOL! Yeah, I know. I had another brand in mind but could not think of it at the time, so I just through Canik in there.
