My uncle died in Korea when Truman ordered him to go to S. Korea from Japan and of course to me the war was not worth it. Vietnam ended up being not necessary. Iraq freed the citizens and they executed Saddam Hussein, so it was worth doing.

Iraq was invaded under fraudulent pretenses. There were no stockpiles of "weapons of mass destruction" - the lie that allowed the war to happen. To the American people, the war was not worth it.

If Iran gets nukes all Gulf states will have to have them. Its better to keep nukes well away from Iran.

Or, it's better to take nukes from Israel. Nuclear Israel as destabilising as nuclear Iran. And yes, Trump just killed NPT, so, pretty soon, most of average states, including Egypt and Syria, will have nukes.

Colin Powell went to get accurate information and spent 2 weeks researching what the CIA had on the Saddam regime. This story is in a book, but I do not recall the media making note of it. This after he was satisfied Saddam had WMD caused him to present that vial at the UN. He of course said this prior to when Saddam removed his WMD to Syria. Notice the vial is not nuclear material.
