Trump to end LGBTQ crisis hotline… why?

are you suggesting creating an agency similar to the VA to served the LGBTQ group.
No, there are plenty of support centers out there. Collaborating and supporting their efforts is a good start

Who the Fuk knows?

I doubt if anyone bothered to track it
I do know hundreds of thousands of gays died from AIDs in the 80s and Reagan did not give a shit

Republicans haven’t changed in 40 years
What does gays dying of aids in the 80s have to do what sucide?
Wrong. I listed what the funds did. Stop lying about it
you have been posting incorrect information all day

Why do you think it’s wrong ?
It is not logical to make assumptions without evidence. But we all do that, and sometimes we need to.

But to make an assumption with absolutely no evidence, and then to attack people who don't immediately agree with your assumption, is wrong.

I could assume that poker bad beats cause suicide. They happen tens of thousands of times per day. I could advocate for a Bad Beat Hotline.

Unless you are a poker player, you are unlikely to understand exactly what is meant by a bad beat. But that doesn't mean I should ridicule you, and call you ignorant or pathetic if you don't immediately agree with my Bad Beat Hotline idea.

Even if you knew what a bad beat was, you still might disagree with the need for a bad beat hotline and ask me to document. All the suicides I believe are happening.

That would be a fair question. It would be wrong for to say that you must hate poker players or not care about their lives.

This is my biggest complaint with democrats and not democrats. On this forum. They don't understand that what is wrong for others is wrong for them.

What is a bad beat in poker?

Trump to end LGBTQ crisis hotline… why?

Thank you for calling the LGBTQ crisis hotline. We understand all those letters in a row is hard to sort what with Q being the same as L and G while B is everybody is fu(kable which is good news for the T's. That's as far as We Republicans have got. In no way are We on the Right qualified to dispense help on any of this mess. Our Guys like Gals and our Gals like Guys. That's what We Guys say anyway. Fortunately God invented wine, Gals like wine, wine makes Gals make questionable decisions and next thing you know: Babies. This happens often so We on the Right are worried about babies. We don't see this coming up so often for the LGBTQ crew. It's not that We on the Right are worried about bodily fluid exchange among the LGBTQ crew, it's more that We are busy raising babies and the LGBTQ concerns that We on the Right are not concerned about their concerns doesn't concern us. Have you seen the price of formula, diapers, shelter, tiny bicycles and Dr. Seuss books? We can lose a toddler in a Wal-Mart more quickerer than a gook can hide in a rice-paddy from a... sorry. I haven't been to Nam. I'm saying while I'm busy looking for my rotten child under the low hanging dresses Leah Thompson looms over the LGBTQ crew is living it up with nose rings, big time money colored hair, fancy protest signs and never having to wake up in the middle of the night to feed a baby. I can be meanerer. You LGBTQ's march in the street day in and day out to tell me I'm horrible because I won't use made up words I have to memorize under 57 gender circumstances and that I'm some sort of phobist cause I called a Gal with a beard "Sir" and that claiming that men can't get pregnant is foul yet if I identify as a "Ninja" I don't get the same respect ya'll demand of me. I'm far more a Ninja what with my thousands of hours practicing fighting than Frank is a Woman cause he's sporting a skirt and a 5 o'clock shadow. While I'm at it my pronouns are Sir/Dude. Sir cause you demand I call you by your preferred pronouns so back-atchya and Dude cause of The Big Lebowski. Also none of you dumb fu(ks yet have the answer to "what are your chromosomes?" That's all.

The fact that when I asked Slade3200 how many suicides there were before the alphabet hotline, he literally said "you tell me."

I'll try again:

Hey rightwinger, how many suicides of trans kids were there in the 80's, when there was far less acceptance?
Those stats aren’t available. The important thing here is
Yes “we” as in you and I from your post saying it was a federal agency.

The general crisis hotline will still be fully operational, and the option to remove LGTBLMNOP+ specific guidance is what is being targeted. Why cater to a specific ideology, which is really just a mental illness, that costs more than $30 million / year, when the general service is still available? Instead of continuing the narrative that trans-testicle females are actual females, perhaps they should be getting psychiatric help instead.
An ideology isnt being catered to… a group of people with select issues causing them to be in crisis is trying to be addressed. Just like Vets. The other high risk group.

If you think they need help then this is a place where they could start to get it. How does cutting the program provide them with help? It doesn’t

If you dont even know that there were trans suicides, then dont be surprised that i dont accept Slade3200's evide ce free clsim that it will be 2,000 per day all because of Trump.

I had a gay guy in the 80's tell me he was terrified of getting AIDS. I told him to sit down and shut up. My advice saved his life.
My claim was simply stats 2000 people a day reached out for help to a line that Trump is cutting. Disgusting move from our President

2000+ calls a day to a hotline offering suicide and crisis support is not an assumption it’s a fact. Whether that call prevents a suicide or eases pain or does nothing is up to the operator and the individual. But at the end of the day it’s people in crisis reaching out for help. That’s a sacred thing that should be handled with care because every call is a potential life to be impacted. Cutting doesn’t help that whatsoever

15th post
I don’t really care what we think the “left” would say. Just do what’s right.

The issue is a political move to stick it to the woke at the detriment of real people who are in need

What does the press 3 option afford them that they wont get from the other line?

Then tell me, if there is zero difference then why make the move and why are those engaged in the support efforts saying this:

In an email, a spokesperson for the Trevor Project, a nonprofit that responds to roughly half of 988 calls and texts from LGBTQ youth, said the suicide prevention organization had received an official stop-work order from the Trump administration for its work supporting 988’s specialized services for LGBTQ youth.
“This is devastating, to say the least. Suicide prevention is about people, not politics,” said Jaymes Black, the Trevor Project’s CEO. “The administration’s decision to remove a bipartisan, evidence-based service that has effectively supported a high-risk group of young people through their darkest moments is incomprehensible.”
Again, this goes back to, was this hotline pushing kids to embrace the lgbtq lifestyle without the knowledge of their parents?

You seem to be ignoring what I said about that. If its not true, and if the special hotline offers something that will specifically help these kids avoid suicide, then I agree with you. If it is true, then it calls into question if it should be used.
