Same reason the Vets have a specific line. They are a high risk group with specialized needs and issues. Connecting them with professionals trained to support those needs and issues gives a better chance of better support

We all signed up to provide veterans Healthcare. Nobody signed up to provide it for freak shows

That’s bullshit: out of all the trillions our government spends I don’t see millions for mental healthcare as a necessity. The costs of dealing with the after effects of suicide and mental health issues probably far outweighed the costs of prevention and support efforts
