Donald Trump is scheduled to address the National Rifle Association (NRA) national meeting in Houston only days after a school shooting massacre in Uvalde, Texas.

On Tuesday, a gunman killed 14 children and a teacher in Robb Elementary School. Police reportedly killed the suspect, an 18-year-old man. The shooting occurred only ten days after the mass shooting at a supermarket in Buffalo, New York.

On Friday, Trump is scheduled to address the NRA's annual meeting for the 6th time, posting a video of Trump discussing his "love" for the organization.

Yeah. Go ahead and show up donny, right after an elementary school mass shooting. It will make for great campaign material.

See you there.

Maybe he'll send his thoughts and prayers, and then hug a flag.
I'm gonna take a wild stab in the dark and say that convention won't be happening now.

Too much has been done and to many people screwed over. Laws and agendas enacted have expanded over and over with some of it grotesque now. Any Gun legislation no matter how benign will get worse and worse. We are already living with at least a soft tyranny. And we saw our central government lock down D.C. with walls and tens of thousands of soldiers when Biden was installed. Trust is not existing for what is being pushed.

The shooter didn't attack a gun-store or concealed carry class because he'd have been gun downed with no other casualties like this guy.

What does this school shooting…another horrible event in Xiden’s America, have to do with the NRA or Trump?
It's the optics of holding a gun convention in a state that just saw 14 grade schoolers and one teacher gunned down.
Probably not the best time to be grandstanding advocating for more guns and less restrictions on them.

How many NRA members have shot up schools in this country?

I'll wait...

It's important to send the message that the NRA isn't responsible for these shootings.

I'm going to take a guess and say that you've never been to an NRA convention. I've been to a few. I don't recall a single person ever advocating the idea that we need more guns.

The NRA is made up of law-biding citizens. Wouldn't it make more sense to focus the hate towards the criminals who commit these crimes?
