“I have read someplace that the networks were 97% against me, again, 97% negative, and yet I won and easily, all 7 swing states,” Trump told reporters, referring to his 2024 election win.

“They give me only bad publicity, press. I mean, they’re getting a license,” Trump said, according to audio from a press gaggle aboard Air Force One provided by the White House.

“I would think maybe their license should be taken away,” Trump said.

The president said that the decision “will be up to Brendan Carr,” the chairman of the Federal Communications Commission.

Number 1. It is rhetoric inciting future violence if you are telling your entire base that political violence is only coming from the left. Did you see that image? This doesn't even include numerous comments from Matt Walsh about this which include: "The left wants us dead. That is the mainstream view. It just is. It’s the truth. They couldn’t be any clearer about it. Stop lying to yourself. Face the facts, and act accordingly."

If you tell your supporters that they need to go to war against the left. That the democratic party should be labelled a terrorist organization. That the left is a national security threat. This will have real life consequences. What should happen in instances like this, is that media on the right should be trying to cool temperatures and denounce any political violence, just like every single administration and media network has done after every assassination that has occurred.

You guys treat politics like it's your favorite sport team.

They are walking you rapidly towards fascism, and this is not something that democrats alone can stop. It has to be conservatives pushing back a bit and telling their politicans to cool it. When you look at fascist countries in history, it's easy to say 'well that would never happen to us'. But the problem with fascism is that they convince their supporter base that they are correct. For example, most republicans still believe to this day that there was mass voter fraud in the 2020 election. Despite no evidence that there would be anywhere near enough to change the election. The actual evidence that does exist actually shows that it was Trump that conspired to illegally overturn the election so he could stay in power. And you have his own former VP basically saying as much. But yet, you guys don't believe that, but you do believe that mass voter fraud occurred. They are making you think that Trump acting in Authortarian ways is common sense because the left is forcing it. The left is not forcing any of this, and the left can't stop Trump do major damage to democracy in the US.

This whole thing about political violence is great, because it's a clear example of the fascist playbook, and it's relatively easy to debunk that the vast majority of political violence comes from the left.

You guys should apply some of that intrinsic mistrust of any information that is critical of the Trump administration and apply it to information that comes from your own party as well.
