I live near one of the best nursing Jr Colleges in the west... it is full every semester... nursing is a great career and beats the hell out of Black studies or gender studies....
It won't happen overnight but with your attitude it will never happen... its people like you that keep mentally ill people down and out and dead on the city streets....

Currently, there are about 900,000 hospital beds in America, all occupied. You can't possibly be stupid enough to believe another quarter million can be conjured up and staffed with enough MDs, psychiatrists, nurses, mental health technicians, counselors, radiologists, MRI and CAT scan machines and other multi-million dollar equipment, etc.

Especially since there is already a drastic shortage of all of these.

Many cities provide shelter in hotels, at great expense. And it has not made a dent.

Trump does not have a plan. This is very, very obvious.

It is also a rare event for a homeless person not to be in grave medical condition. You would not believe the ailments they suffer from.

Our jails are full. Not just full. Overcrowded.

We have the most prisoners in the world. More than all of China which has a population four and a half times the US.

This is huge. The status quo, where the goal was to get these people back into society, has clearly been a massive failure.

I have been supporting this idea for years. It is cleary the right answer. THis could save thousands of lives. And reclaim our cities.

This is also in THEIR interest. For others who are savable they could be bussed to different areas of the country where they can actually live without having to be homeless.
