Trump Supporters. Why Are You Against SCIENCE!

You mean the science of global warming? Covid shots were vaccinations? Save yourself with a mask? Prevent natural immunity by locking down schools and businesses? Placing Covid patients in nursing homes? Science is great, if we live long enough to survive it.
Actually, science is great until politicians get hold of it.

Strictly speaking it is only those who stand to lose that complain of "wokeness" a nonsensical word, used by those with poor vocabulary.

In years gone by seeking the vote for women would have been woke, endiing slavery would have been woke, ending child labor in coal mines and factories would have been called woke.

The entitled over fed American slob today complains all the time about "woke" yet are oblivious to the fact that they are beneficiaries of wokeness!

Child car seats are woke, health and safety standards in restaurants are woke, free vaccines against chicken pox are woke, if we took away everything these magats call "woke" we'd be back to the middle ages.
So let's go further and restrict all motor vehicle to traveling less than 35mph. We would save tens of thousands of lives every year. Genius.

Trump is apparently against science. His threatening Universities is just a part of that. So if you support Trump, you are also anti-Science. Which is utterly insane. Many of the products you use have come from science. All of our military equipment has a LOT of science behind it. Etc. etc. etc. I will show you what an actual PhD has to say on the subject.

Yes I agree that is a very dumb suggestion, but I guess you can't help it, being a magat and all.

The point, which you seem determined to avoid, is that it is not an all or nothing proposition, it is a spectrum.

Child labor laws - good thing in a country wealthy enough that not every member of the family has to contribute or somebody starves.
Motorcycle helmet laws - government trying to protect us against ourselves being stupid.
High speed limits - we lose tens of thousands of lives every year, but hey, we get to drive fast, and we celebrate the people who drive the fastest in popular entertainment.

And on it goes. What you consider that your necessity is another man's woke, you realize that the further the government goes down that road, the more is considered woke and unnecessary. Sorry you can't see it that way.

Oh, and what's a magat? Do they scare you? Is one in the room with you right now, what's going on? One blink for no, two for yes.

Consider The National Child Labor Committee, it was a progressive reform group setup in 1904. It was opposed by the Southern states and much of US industry. They argued the US needed child workers for the good of our economy and even society.

You fail to grasp that these initiatives were heavily opposed by the wealthy and the powerful, it took ordinary people resisting and fighting to get these laws through. You think congress woke up one day and said "We're a wealthy nation now, lets pass all these benevolent social programs into law"?

It's a euphemism I invented.

Irrelevant to the point, which is that what is necessary to you is woke to someone else.

Of course not, and that adds nothing to what I'm saying, which is the further down the road of protecting us from ourselves the government goes, the more what it does is seen as woke instead of necessary.
It's a euphemism I invented.
Okay, so it's meaningless then. There are no actual ones in the room with you now. Good to know.

Right so the term "woke" is meaningless then, gottit, now why not explain that to the magats here.

No, euphemisms are not meaningless, try again.
