Well, the fact is, the regulators have been in bed with businesses like Big Pharma. See, regulations say to sell wheat products, 11 ingredients have to be in it (mostly unhealthy stuff). In Europe (where people are much healthier) only have 3 ingredients. So, reduce the size of all government departments like the USDA and others to make it easier to sell good quality food and also tastes good like in Europe. Then, we don't need SNAP and other expensive programs.

Biden's first year and with shutdowns the entire year 4.7%. Why? Because of his stupid reversals of Trump oil orders and instituting a bunch of new cost raising regulations. Typical liberal stuff. 2022, averaged 8% with a high point just under 10%. With that, unrest throughout the Middle East and a brutal war in Ukraine killing now close to a million people.
