So my proposal would be for the EU to issue 3 year visas to Mexican workers (no tats with a solid work exp.)... They arrive on the 1st of March, work 2000 hours and that entitles them to a free flight home until next March. Work hard and you can be at home for 4 months (6 days at 10 hour day).

It's not just a label, it gives certain powers to the President to handle the group....such as easier to freeze assets and other fin sanctions, give consequences to states or organizations that give them aid, or individuals etc

So instead of writing actual laws that cover this you want to give blanket powers to the President...

The order says cartels are a national security threat in a way that traditional organized crime is not. They have conducted a "campaign of violence and terror through the Western hemisphere" with destabilizing effects, including a flood of "deadly drugs, violent criminals, and vicious gangs" into the United States.

It also says the cartels, as well as two transnational gangs rooted in Central America, pose a national security threat to the U.S., and it says it is American policy to "ensure the total elimination of these organizations' presence in the U.S."

The order instructs the U.S. State Department to recommend, within 14 days, whether to designate the cartels as foreign terrorist organizations.

US isn't really serious about loosing there 11m undocumented workers... If they were there would be massive enforced fine on employers for hiring a single undocumented worker. There is not. Why? Look back to the 400,000 undocumented construction workers in Texas while they still have a housing shortage.

US has a massive need for low skilled & manual workers... It is what drives the economy. The immigrant population has a lower crime rate than the regular population while you have media that paints them as an evil horde.

Should everyone be vetted coming into the country and having a proper vetting visa program where people can come and go... This would be mutually beneficial to both the US Citizen and Immigrant. This was Reagans idea too...

Is sending everyone back economically and logistically in US best interest? Businesses would be closing because a lack of staff,.....

Does US probably need to issue a massive wave of vetting, temporary and semi-permeant visas. Let them stay and deal with ones that would fail a vetting.. I think this would be more humane and hell of alot safer..
