Wrong an expert who worked on AF1 designing and installing the systems said those times and costs are severely over estimated... the plane could be ready in months with a brand new paint job as well...

Were going to take a unknown aircraft, install some radios, give it a paint job and call it "Air Force One".

Not happening.

What Trump supporters want is the aircraft delivered so they can call it a win and a poke in the eye of libs.

The reality is that plane would have to be broken down to parade rest, inspected, systems hardened, redundant systems installed, and rewired for advanced communication systems.

That will take 100's of millions of dollars and take years and by that time the approved VC-25B's will be online and so the efforce to convert the Qumari 747 would be - essence - fraud, waste and abuse.
