Trump Reportedly Humiliated After Chinese President Snubs Him At The Airport

Skews has egg on his face, again:

"Chinese President Xi Jinping's decision not to greet Donald Trump at the airport is consistent with established Chinese diplomatic protocol, which traditionally dictates that the Chinese head of state does not welcome visiting foreign leaders on the tarmac."

He did not meet Trump in 2017. Chinese protocol does not demand that the Chinese head of state meet any foreign leader on the tarmac.

True.

Still, it would have been nice if he made an appearance.... but the relations between the two countries are not the best to say the least, so no surprises there. :dunno:

Nonetheless this trip will prove to be a bust for Trump.

This isn’t the China trip President Donald Trump had envisioned, and there are major questions about whether he can get what he wants while the US remains embroiled in conflict with Iran.

Not wanting Iran to loom over his trip, Trump delayed his planned China visit in March to give the war – which he said would be resolved in a matter of weeks – time to play out. Months later, a peace deal remains elusive, and Trump says the ceasefire with Iran is on “massive life support.”...

...While the leaders are expected to unveil trade deals Trump can tout as a win back home, Iran is likely to dominate the conversation. The US continues its blockade on the Strait of Hormuz, with major implications for China, the largest consumer of Iranian oil. The leaders’ meeting comes days after Iran’s foreign minister Abbas Araghchi traveled to Beijing, underscoring close ties between the two countries.

Maybe the Chinese will be impressed by those purple tiny hands. He can talk to them about Global Warming. LOL

I'm curious how the rest of the visit will go. I'm guessing it will be underwhelming.
Trump wants that $1 trillion investment deal. Which means he sells out his own country to the Chicoms.

surprise surprise

His boy Eric slipped in under the radar to "not have any business dealings in the country", promise, cross my heart, hope to die.

Except for the crypto business he has with a Chicom investor.

So, it will actually be a big success. For Trump, Eric, and the Epstein Class that will do some shopping in the more upscale stores.

I have no doubt the Trump administration will go down as one of the most corrupt in American history.

You don’t understand China, do you? That was a serious loss of face for Trump. As far as the Chinese are concerned, Trump is Xi’s biotch.
I do understand China but Trump is not Chinese. He won't feel ashamed, he'll be pissed. If Xi needs to snub Trump to appear his own base and please Deranged American leftists i can understand that.

But the net effect is Trump is not happy and will tear Xi a new one once they get into private negotiations. I don't know what Xi was expecting to get from this trip. But unless it's more tariffs and bombs in Iran I think he'll be disappointed.

Poorly played, Xi.

As of May 2026, it is standard, established Chinese diplomatic protocol for President Xi Jinping not to greet visiting foreign heads of state on the tarmac. [1]
The present protocol was actually established in 2014 one year later upon Xi becoming the President. Who as vice-president in 2009 but as a member of the Politburo Standing Committee, had greeted Obama personally.

Therefore since 2014 the "ranking"of foreign dignitaries, is displayed via the welcoming person on behalf of the PRC.

Vice-Premier Han Zheng, who greeted TACO, had in 2022 retired from the elite Politburo Standing Committee - therefore he is a person of "political insignificance" or of no "political influence", from the CPC's point of view.

But having those 300 children cheering and waving him, must have brought tears onto his orange cheeks and narcissistic character.
