Trump purging the military...12 - 20 Generals removed.

Gen. Stanley McChrystal (2010) – He was dismissed as commander in Afghanistan after a Rolling Stone article quoted him and his staff making disparaging remarks about Obama administration officials. This was a high-profile case of a general being fired for public insubordination and damaging trust
Obama fired a hell of a lot more than one General.

The problem with generals during peace time is, you don't know how they would perform during a time of war.

President Lincoln was all too aware of this problem as he went through general after general until he could find one that actually could fight and produce results.

But until a time of war, they are basically just political stooges.
Not if they have already been in command during a war or conflict and many of these men have.

No, you asked the Hegseth justify his decisions in relation to your approval.

He needs neither, and in truth, I don't respect or trust your judgment in anything.

So, no lie is too big for you, eh?
  • Workplace Consumption: Over a dozen current and former Fox News employees described incidents where Hegseth appeared to be hungover or smelled of alcohol while employed there, according to a report from The New Yorker.
  • Whistleblower Reports: A whistleblower report claimed he was frequently intoxicated while president of Concerned Veterans for America, sometimes requiring assistance to leave events.
  • Affidavit Claims: An affidavit from a former sister-in-law alleged she witnessed him drinking excessively to the point of passing out.
  • Recent Allegations: Reports in early 2025, as discussed by NPR, continued to raise questions about his behavior and alcohol use.

Based on reports from early April 2026, it is true that the Trump administration has removed multiple senior military officials, including the Army Chief of Staff and other generals, as part of an ongoing restructuring of the Department of Defense. [1, 2, 3]
  • Recent Firings (April 2026): Reports indicate that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, under the Trump administration, fired Army Chief of Staff General Randy George on April 2, 2026, forcing him into early retirement. Along with him, other senior officials were removed, including Gen. David Hodne and Maj. Gen. William Green Jr..
  • Scale of the "Purge": Some reports and social media commentary suggest that over 20 top generals and admirals have been removed or fired by Sec. Hegseth since the start of the administration's actions in early 2025.
  • Previous Removals: In February 2025, President Trump fired the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General CQ Brown, and the Navy’s top admiral, Lisa Franchetti.
  • Context: The removals are described as an attempt to reorganize Pentagon leadership to align with the President’s policies and to address concerns over "woke" ideology within the military.
  • Additional Removals: The administration has also been active in replacing other officials, including the Attorney General in April 2026. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8]
While the figure "12 generals" has been discussed, some sources suggest the scope of the removals (including admirals and top leaders) has exceeded this number. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

It looks like it will be an easy thing for any pres to replace the top military leaders with his own yes men if he wanted to use it as his personal military force.
He's getting rid of useless DEI retards.

You think the present leadership is competent.
Trump has reversed the Biden economic disaster and changed the balance of power in the world to favor America, closed the birder and removed 3 million illegals. Crime is down drug deaths are down wages up we have reliable energy policies and 300000 useless government workers fired. Thats astounding. Compare that to Biden who was so impaired by brain damage and dementia who wrecked everything he got involved with

What part of America are you living in? Talk about drinking the Koo Aid, you are delusional.

Trump is firing them not for their military strategy but because they supported DEI policies
Yes, the fact you would put someone in place that will decide the fate of our soldiers. Just because the color of their skin or what gender they are. Instead of their experience, is frightening.

You mean like obama did?

------
Barack Obama replaced or fired a significant number of military generals during his presidency. Reports indicate that approximately 197 senior military officers were removed from their positions over a span of five years, with nine generals being dismissed in 2013 alone
-------

President Lincoln fired 5 war fighting Generals, not desk jockeys, in the middle of the democrat party Civil War. He did this to find General Grant, the General who finally defeated the democrats.

15th post
Obama did it with something like 100 members of the nuclear readiness team. He just claimed they all cheated on a test, fired them, and hired new ones cherry picked by his administration.

The biggest problem comes when the country is so divided because of the two party political system, that people get so blinded by the whole nonsense, that they end up not following orders.

Also, that the Presidents become so partisan that they give ridiculous orders.

The way I see it, the left is going insane because the Trump administration is not doing everything the left wants and in exactly the way the left wants. Obama once said "Elections have consequences." The people put the GOP in charge for a reason. Now, if the left wants to be in charge, the way to go about it is to be the preferred party of the people. Complaining about Trump 24/7/365 isn't going to change anything, but building a better party that the people prefer will. But that's the real problem, isn't it? It's much easier to be the Karen party than the people's party.
