Nevertheless a good society does want some regulation of how guns will be used to protect that society. You don't want toddlers carrying around loaded pistols and it only makes sense to ban potentially deadly weapons in settings like bars where people's judgment is intentionally compromised. Every citizen should have the right to allow or not allow deadly weapons in his/her home or place of business etc. where other constitutional principles come into play.

I am very pro gun, pro self defense. I strongly approve of concealed carry. But I do not think the Second Amendment was ever intended to mean that anybody could do whatever he/she wanted to do with a weapon or that the clearly bad actors who intend to do harm with them and the clearly incompetent should be allowed to have them.

Except that the reality is, "bad actors" have an easier time obtaining and carrying firearms than law abiding gun owners do given that by their very nature they don't follow any rules.

IMHO If every adult went about carrying concealed the country would be a more peaceful place, after all, when was the last time you heard about a mass shooter opening up on people on a firing range?

A little bit dated but President Trump has promised to sign a National Concealed Carry Reciprocity bill if it's placed on his desk, this is GREAT news for all of us that support the 2nd Amendment and the right to self-defense! In a nutshell such a bill would force states to honor concealed carry permits from all other states as opposed to the labyrinth we have today of getting permits from multiple states (and being unable to get CCW's in idiotic states like California) just to travel with our EDC's concealed.

The ammunition for your gun must be locked up in a separate 2nd location. Then a RAPIST breaks into your home, about all you can do is pick up the gun safe and throw it at the intruder. This is how Democrats are stripping you of your rights, death of a thousand regulation cuts.

You're missing the whole point of national reciprocity, restrictions wouldn't be transferred from state to state only the act of honoring other states CCW, you don't carry the rules and regulations of your home state with you along with your CCW.

It works exactly the same way as an out of state driver's license does, e.g. if your home state allows you to drive 110 mph everywhere that doesn't mean your driver's license allows you to do that in every other state.

If a queer marriage certificate must be recognized in all 50 states, then a conceal carry license has to be recognized in all 50 states. Equal protection clause, not pick and choose laws that the Dems always seem to do.

Know your anti gun enemy. In some Dem states if you dare use your gun in any way you are going to prison. In one Dem state the anti gun laws are so heavy that just transporting your unloaded firearm is likely to get you arrested and sent to prison. Not a theory, people are in their state prisons for this very thing. The gun laws are that convoluted and nearly impossible to adhere to, on purpose. Their goal is to make owning a firearm so legally risky that you will give up your 2nd amendment rights.

I have yet had to use my weapons for defense. Must really piss you off, that i can carry, while your sorry ass can be raped, or murdered and there is nothing you can do about it.
