Trump promised manufacturing magic. ISM report says “nope!”

The claim that the pandemic was the greatest transfer of wealth to the poor is false. Multiple studies by groups like Oxfam, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and the World Economic Forum show that the pandemic disproportionately benefited the wealthiest individuals, while poverty increased globally.
Actually fascism increased during Covid. Small businesses never recovered and people were arrested for congregating and refusing to take a jab of questionable vaccine. Whether that translated to the wealthy is a subject that only commies and socialists seem to dwell on.

And statisticians...are they the monarchies? :auiqs.jpg:

No worries. Let the tariff and supply-chain dust settle. When the fed lowers interest rates things will be better.

Yeah, let's get inflation up, which Trump said was bad, just so the rich can get richer and the poor can... get poorer.... great one.

Trump is bringing jobs back to the US

Because he told you that? The entire premise of the OP's article is that it is in fact not happening.

Trump is balancing the budget, he cut $1.5T off Biden's last budget, and he is raising $500b in new revenue

So, in other words, he raised taxes by half a trillion dollars and we're all paying for it and those revenues still don't come close to making up for the money spent in the Republicans' "Big, Beautiful Bill."

Through June, US consumers had absorbed 22% of tariff costs, but that share was expected to rise to 67% by October, according to an August 10 estimation from Goldman Sachs economists. That assessment led to a demand from Trump that the investment giant fire its chief economist.

Goldman Sachs economists said they expect that about 70% of the direct costs of the tariffs will eventually fall on the consumer, and that the total could rise to 100% if including the spillover effects of domestic producers raising their prices (something that has already occurred and is expected to continue — more on that below).

WalletHub’s poll has found that 55 per cent of the surveyed US adults think that their hard work is not paying off due to Trump’s tariffs. The president’s reciprocal tariff measures of up to 50 per cent have taken effect in most countries, including India

But since a widespread 10% tariff went into effect, many manufacturers in Oregon say import taxes are raising the cost of doing business.

More so, the back-and-forth between the Trump administration and other countries has infused a high level of uncertainty, causing companies and individuals to pull back on spending. That’s translating into fewer orders for manufacturers.

It took a long time for the left to **** is over on those jobs and tarrifs. It’s going to take a little while to reverse it.

Today’s ISM Manufacturing Report (September 2, 2025) hits a lousy 48.7, signaling six straight months of U.S. factory contraction . all thanks to Trump’s chaotic tariffs jacking up costs and killing demand
Ya gotta learn to read the fine print...moron.

“The Manufacturing PMI® registered 48.7 percent in August, a 0.7-percentage point increase compared to the 48 percent recorded in July. The overall economy continued in expansion.

“The New Export Orders Index reading of 47.6 percent is 1.5 percentage points higher than the reading of 46.1 percent registered in July. The Imports Index registered 46 percent, 1.6 percentage points lower than July’s reading of 47.6 percent.”

Inflation is coming down, especially after the Fed lowers interest rates, and Trump deports a few million more illegals.

The more tariffs “settle” the worse things get.
What's worse in your life?

I just came from the store where several items are less expensive today than a year ago.

I dunno......

Maybe it's the ecconomy and not one thing like you guys hope it is.

The most complex economy in the world and you called a policy Bidenomics after a decrepit old Celery Stalk.

Yeah....that was a good name for your policy.

Hiker doesn’t wanna talk about the ISM report.
Hiker could care less about the ISM report.

Your OP says Trump promised manufacturing magic.

Obviously, you believed him. Right ? Else why are you whining about it.

I knew what I was getting. I could care less about the ISM report.

I care about one thing.....SCOTUS.

And TRUMP has delivered BIGLY!
