Well, let us think this thing through. If importers attempt to pass along all the cost to the US consumer, that will result in lower sales. The importers don't want to eat it though so they will go to their suppliers, you know, the ones making billions on the cash cow that is the US consumer. The importer will tell them they need to eat the tariff, or at least a lot of it, or risk losing the US consumer. Well, guess what, they won't do that. They can't do that because the US is in the unique position of having the most powerful consumers in the world, bar NONE. Without us, they go belly up and quick. The problem with most Democrats is that they lack the understanding that we are in a major, massive position of strength here. The years of US bashing went to their heads and they are not in touch with reality.
