There is nothing to be gained from such a tweet. Even if he despised the guy, what is the gain?

Based on responses by his supporters across the board this is not popular. This will not add even one supporter to his MAGA movement but it could cost him some.

Focus on the issues. Be humble in the death of others, he could even say, "we had a great number of differences but no one should die in such a manner, may he RIP". You don't have to like what he stood for in life but a few words and move on with your day.

On Truth Social he stated the death of Rob Reiner, and his wife, were due to them suffering TDS.
