Honey, let me 'splain something to you--- there are two sides to a commodity like oil:

1. The ordinary side, you are right, market forces, supply and demand plus whatever regulatory pressures Congress applies determine oil prices.
2. But presidents can also effect orders and actions affecting trade and foreign countries plus other things which ultimately come back around to influence the industry from the other side.

It is the balance between those two which determine in large part what gas prices end up being.

Dude, I don't need CNN to tell me that every component I buy at work is now more expensive because of Cheeto Hitler's Tariffs. Every day I have to record these increased expenses and report them to management.

That Gasoline is down really doesn't make a difference when everything else is up. I only buy gasoline once every two weeks, so Gasoline being down $1.00 a gallon nets me a whopping $20.00 a month. (I have a very fuel-efficient car, and my work commute is relatively short.)

Gas being down is how it begins... first shipping costs drop... then product supplies drop because the cost to ship them drop... then competition sinks in and costs for goods drop....

Just like Gas going up causes inflation because of shipping... especially in a global marketplace...

Take a remedial economics course from your local Jr College and learn how the economy works before you comment on it....

Also keep in mind that until sometime in October, we were still operating under Biden's budget. Trump's economy only really, fully became his since then these last two months.

Something has to be done about the determination of mental health in the courts. It isn't working. We can't have judges in charge of psych meds, they're not doctors and they don't understand the medical landscape.

If Nick Reiner was court ordered for schizophrenia he was most likely getting clozapine, which is a powerful drug with serious side effects. It says right on the label you shouldn't change dosage without continual medical monitoring. Which Nick obviously wasn't getting, if he was running around partying.

The courts get involved because untreated patients become a danger to themselves and others. If you're in the system at age 15 and you fail repeatedly your choices are basically medication or prison. A lot of people (like Nick, possibly) split because they don't want to take the medication. The whole system is ignorant and counterproductive. The courts changed Nick's dosage without supervision, and I'll bet his lawyer will make a big deal of that and he might even skate because of it
