Trump's cease fire phone call with Putin the other day was wildly unsuccessful, and Trump should have anticipated that. There are zero reasons for Putin to agree to a cease fire. Putin wants a win, a surrender, and he has the military advantage, especially now that Trump is cutting off aid to Ukraine from the United States. As CIC, Trump should know that a cease fire is a lost cause.
But what is really driving Trump is not to end the war or help ease the suffering of the Ukraine people. Trump could give a rats ass about Ukraine. He wants the Nobel Peace Prize, and he's trying to manipulate Putin to get it. Good luck with that!

Trump took Russia’s sidein the ham fisted attempt to blackmail Zelinsky (and idea that Russian operatives gleefully promoted to Crazy Uncle Rudy ans Lev Parnas.
Trump kissed Putin’s ass all throughout his first term.
Then, as now, Trump is doing everything he can to divide the Western Alliance. Repeatedly attacking our NATO allies, while praising Putin.
Dividing the US from Europe has been a primary Russian foreighn policy goal since 1946.
Trump is just the man to deliver for them.
And, of course, Trump supports the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
And all you little cu;twists are cheering for Moscow, now.
Why?

In Trump’s first term, Trump had Flynn tell the Russians not to worry about sanctions, because he was going to get rid of them (ahe is trying to now).
He promised to return the FSB safe houses that Obama siezed.
He was led around the table at the G8 summit just to whisper in Putin’s ear, on live global television.
He kissed Putin’s ass at Helsinki.
He tried to blackmail Zelinsky .
And he called the Russian invasion a “genius move”.
