You are claiming "a coup" was possible, and it clearly was not.
If the vote is not certified, it does not make Trump president again.
It allows congress to do whatever it wants.
I believe the Speaker of the House then become president pro tempore.

Lots of people breached the barriers and werent arrested. He was one of many. We got over 1,000 that did enter the Capitol, though. LOL you think he's some sort of FBI plant. You're a liar.

And then, lastly........getting Pence to stop the count could have allowed the imposition of martial law, And, then the election thrown to the state legislatures. In fact, there seemed to be some sentiment for exactly that in the Oval Office.

I've been hearing this for so long it is tiresome. I don't like Obama, but spreading false info is not doing his opposition any favors. Obama's mother was a US citizen. No matter where he was born, he also is a citizen. I have been a citizen eligible to be POTUS being born of American parents in a foreign country my entire life. So was John McCain--he was born in Panama to American parents. Let this one go--it is a non starter.
Mike Pence had all of the we want to vote for this guy documents when he started in his radio and political endeavors over the many years to be Trump like. In fact, much further to the right as we are at the point Trump is a populist. In what world does an elitist controlled, media abused, other side political accused religious fundamentalist VP make a President who has little history of religion look like an apostle. I want Pence to be successful. Alas, he seems to be closer to the swamp. All of these Republican candidates need to figure it out. They need to show courage and that is difficult. Once a candidate is picked then work together and make the changes needed. Hire the ones who are closer in agreement in the new administration and do the changes. The Ukraine war must end, or we stop wasting our resources. America first must be the goal.

A presidential candidate cannot summon, incite and aim an assault against the Congress of the United States and still hope to win a future presidential election.
