There is no need for the U.S. to get bogged down in Venezuela. Under the War Powers Act, we have 60 days to weaken the dictator’s ability to control the population by targeting the army and police. After that, it would be up to the people of Venezuela. If they choose not to act, that is their decision. I was watching a video last night with a Western Analyst on Chinese media (It helps to get a wide variety of views).

The thing is, what really upsets the US is that they can't use the "Petro-Dollar" to intimidate Venezuela anymore. We tried to embargo Venezuelan oil, which we need because it's the kind of crude that can be easily refined, and instead, Venezuela just sold that to China for Yuan and sometimes cryptocurrency.

Meanwhile, America has a big problem. We are running up 3 trillion in debt every year, and no one wants to buy our paper. Not the Japanese, not the Europeans, not American banks. The only people who might be willing to buy up US Treasuries at this point are... wait for it.. the Chinese.
