Because of this, they often couldnt use them in "danger close" situations, so our soldiers wouldnt get air support. In 2025, we use smaller laser guided bombs that can be used much more safely near our soldiers.

We also have satelites now, which removes the need to send soldiers into the jungle to hunt blindly on patrols. Drones play a big part in giving us eyes as well. This high awareness removes the need for extremely large numbers of soldiers. We no longer rely on patrols to stumble across hidden enemy encampments. Instead we find them with satellites and surgically send special operations teams to dismantle targets like that.

Support aircraft like A-10 warthogs, AC-130s and Apache helicopters are a also massive game changer.
