Critically heralded. Numerous awards.
And, indeed, the main actress does a very good job of playing a woman with a sick child that is overwhelmed, stressed to the breaking point and alone.
But - there is a problem. One that many viewers saw. An exhausting portrayal of bad men.
Every. Single. Man. in this movie is an authoritarian asshole. Even ones that play a bit part. They are all complete jerks. There is not one man in the movie that has a single forgiving trait. None.
Anyone who thinks that is an accident is blind as a bat. Another misandrist movie.
It is getting old fast.

A24 movies are usually pretty good but when I saw the trailer I said.....Nope, not for me.

It was the wife's turn to pick a movie. Not one I would have picked either.
It actually started out decent, but maybe 20 minutes in I started realizing - "is there going to be any male characters that are not complete jerks??"
Searched online, and I am certainly not alone. A lot of viewers noticed the same thing.

Oh, yes. I watched a British "Who Done It" series on Netflix a year or two ago where each and every family was racially mixed. EVERY F*CKING ONE OF THEM! I don't remember the name of the series but I'm sure you know which one I mean. It really pissed me off. Oh ..... and who do you think "done it"? Take a guess.

Anyway, thank you very much for the "heads up" on this one. I will not be watching it!
