The consequences of Trump's actions

That isn't a serious answer. I very much doubt Iranians see such a binary choice before them. Not that they have a say in who replaces Khamenei in the short run.

You defined the question that way. You stated that siding with the US, is siding with Isreal and you made the point that the US and Isreal is seen as their "mortal enemies".

So, that is teh choice, the ******* BINARY CHOICE before them, to side with their real enemies, or the jews.

They have to choose between their hate, and their lives.

Is it? Well, he does seem like a bright guy, makes sense he would be on the same page as me.

During the twelve-day war in June, Khamenei provided input and issued directives on the succession process from inside his bunker after Israel killed several of his senior commanders and targeted some of his top advisers. (One of those advisors, Ali Shamkhani, was killed by American and Israeli strikes the same day as Khamenei.) As he confronted assassination threats from President Donald Trump (despite reports to the contrary), Khamenei selected three individuals to succeed him in case he did not survive the war.

On Sunday, the day after Khamenei’s death, the succession process was set in motion. First, a three-person Interim Leadership Council assembled, per Article 111 of the Iranian Constitution, to act as the collective head of state and highest office while that of the supreme leader remains vacant. The council temporarily assumes the duties of the supreme leader until a new one is selected by the Assembly of Experts, an elected body of eighty-eight clerics.

It seems neither of you understand the process of succession.

Your post makes no sense.

No, Trump is the white backlash to a black president by racists scared of losing their advantage due to the changing demographics of this nation. Now make another dumb --- comment about me getting an ID.
Look, if getting a photo ID is really that difficult for you, just ask any white liberal over the age of 10 to help you. Bring it on.

That is your plan isn't it, to just cry like a little girl.
Actually, my plan in the context of this thread is to show you're an uninformed moron. Mission accomplished.

The report, completed about a week before the United States and Israel initiated the war on Feb. 28, outlined succession scenarios stemming from either a narrowly tailored campaign against Iran’s leaders or a broader assault against its leadership and government institutions, the people familiar with its findings said. In both cases, the intelligence concluded that Iran’s clerical and military establishment would respond to the killing of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei by following protocols designed to preserve continuity of power, these people said.

The prospect of Iran’s fragmented opposition taking control of the country was described as “unlikely,” said the people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a classified report.

If the words are confusing to you it's possible you need a remedial reading comprehension course. Again, not coincidently, like trump.

I understood the words, they just had no relevance to theh discussion we were having.

What will you do, if the Iranian people manage to rise up and overthrow the mullahs?

You going to admit that you were wrong, or just drop it and move on to next attack?

Iran's plan for succession has no relevance to a conversation about the chances for anything else but another member of the past regime becoming the new leader? Not enough coffee this morning?

Cheer like hell for their bravery in succeeding against all odds. And continue to criticize trump for getting us in to an illegal war that has destabilized the ME.

You do realize that when trump speaks to the Iranian people about rising up, that he is not making an argument that they follow the succession plan of the regime.

You are pretending to be utterly retarded, so that you can spout... this nosense and muddy the waters.

I am not interested in this silly game. Please drop it, stop pretending to be grossly retarded, and let's move on.
