The RWR and LBJ museums both have one.Why does a Presidential library need a Jet liner?
Just as part of a museum?
Nowhere does the Constitution require Congressional approval for the President to accept a gift to the US.Under the Constitution Congress has to decide on accepting or not, the gift.
Says who? Where is the quote?Trump says it goes with him before he leaves office
Why do you think it doesn't apply? Why do you refuse to understand this does not apply here?
It's the gift from a foreign leader or state. Why do you refuse to understand this does not apply here?
Because its being gifted to the government. Why do you think it doesn't apply?
The aircraft will be gifted to the United States government - not the President, and not Trump. Ownership will always remain with the federal government. Why do you think it doesn't apply?
Actually it does. The most often quoted emoluments clause.Nowhere does the Constitution require Congressional approval for the President to accept a gift to the US.
Post it pleaseActually it does. The most often quoted emoluments clause.

Congress had to officially accept the Statue of Liberty gift to the United States of America...Nowhere does the Constitution require Congressional approval for the President to accept a gift to the US.

All gifts are gifted to our govt....there is no legal way to accept a gift, otherwise. Foreigners simply pass the gift on, through officials they are trying to get favor from or even thank, but the gifts are the possession of our govt thus, us.Because its being gifted to the government.
Maybe its because they had to contract to do it faster, and for less money.Boeing is purposely dragging their feet on the new Air Force One trying to not have it ready for Trump.... I would cancel the deal with them and claw back any money we gave them and take the plane from SA and paint it like AF1..... and save the taxpayer billions....
They started the project in Trump's first term and they still say they won't have it completed for 5 years... dump the deal and take the plane from SA....it does not take 15 years to build one jet....Maybe its because they had to contract to do it faster, and for less money.
Trump had pushed Boeing to reduce costs and accelerate the delivery timeline during his first term.
The initial contract for the new Air Force One, awarded to Boeing in 2018, was a $3.9 billion firm-fixed-price contract. It required Boeing to build and deliver two new VC-25B aircraft (Air Force One) by 2024,
