Dot for crying out loud the Clintons and the Trumps have been socially engaged for eons. There's a certain strata that both are in where it would be entirely unacceptable for the Trumps to have not invited the Clintons.

It's a socialite kinda thing. I had people I detested in the music business but hell's bells they were invited to every promo party I ever gave. It would be a major social faux pas if I didn't invite certain people.

As far as saying Hillary would make a great President what would you expect him to say back then when she's one of two Senators from NY ?
