Scarborough became a regular conservative guest on MSNBC analysis shows and then was given his own program. He was the conservative host when MSNBC was trying to copy the Fox News template. Matthews was the obnoxious answer to Bill O’Reilly, Tucker Carlson was their Libertarian host who often debated with regular guest Rachel Madcow and then Olbermann was added to provide a semi-humorous approach to news. When MSNBC saw their ratings tank they made a hard left turn, obviously a production decision. Olbermann spent his show ragging Bush and O’Reilly, Matthews spent his show obsessing with plame/Wilson and yellowcake, Carlson was fired and his show was given to Madcow. Scarborough was moved to the A.M. slot and gradually moved left. I think that happened when he started fucking his co-host.
