Trump Claims Tariffs Brought in Trillions of Dollars

Obama managed to pull the country out of the biggest recession in history. The "great recession", in less time.
Now, that's funny.

He's generally been credited with overseeing one of the most sluggish recoveries of all time.

And it wasn't that bad.

Reagan had it a lot worse.

higher wages in California

How's that working out for you?

Hint: a disaster
The minimum wage in California is $16.50 per hour for all employers, effective January 1, 2025. However, specific sectors have different rates, with fast food workers at chains with 60 or more U.S. locations earning at least $20.00 per hour as of April 1, 2024, and some healthcare facility workers having a higher minimum wage between $18 and $24 per hour depending on the facility type.

Must SUCK ASS to live in Red States and earn under $8 an hour.

Takes me 5 minutes to earn $8.
Do the math.

Don't know anyone in a red state who makes 8/hour.

Even fast food workers make 10 to 12. (that I know).

I was in CA for four months when the 20/hit.

Workers all got their hours cut.

A big mess.

Did I mention the increased prices?

One subway owner increased the hours his store was open (and works it himself) just to cover the lost revenue.

****** ALTERS my quote.
Ban this POS for the LYING Old **** he really is.
Lying as usual. Are you trying to say that sentence wasn't taken verbatim from YOUR post? Also lying and using your seventh grade vocabulary doesn't help your case either. Now get on topic and quit lying. The topic is Trump's tariffs---not "how well you're doing," the minimum wage in blue states or what you think of different parts of WA. None of which are factual. Keep digging.

No. I'm too busy boycotting Dr. Pepper (Keurig Dr. Pepper), and you can see how well that is going...

Even my wife has a Keurig machine...

The time to do that was when this started decades ago. For some reason you Progressives do not want American to earn a fair living with the return of some manufacturing.
The real issue here is that progressives/leftists/Marxists/Democrats could care less about America or Americans. Their #1 priority is to demonize Trump and make sure he is allowed no credit for accomplishing anything of value.

I've been saying this for years. America cannot survive without manufacturing and the populace needs to have the skills to accomplish that.

Only if those customers are buying products from other countries. Buy American and zero tariff.

And there is also incentive for Americans to manufacture and distribute products that are made in America and very strong incentive for other countries to invest, manufacture, distribute here to take advantage of a wealthy American market and avoid the tariffs.

All in all, the economists not afflicted with TDS say that the cost to America and Americans will eventually even out and provide benefits that we otherwise wouldn't have. It can't happen overnight or within weeks or even months. But it will happen.

The world has taken advantage of us as well as expecting us to protect them and be their sugar daddy for far too long. That didn't become pervasive overnight either but we've endured it for many decades now. President Trump is doing what is necessary to fix that. He may or may not have time to succeed or even be entirely on the right track, but at least he's trying and it is already netting good things. (Including those tariff revenues and the massive investment other countries are putting into the American economy that in coming years will net us trillions.)
So you dumb *****...are you going to be prepared to answer what happened to the trillion(s) of dollars when your blob posts anoter $5-$8T in new debt by the time he oozes out of office?

When he accomplishes something of value...he will get credit.

You’re a delusional hack.
Obama drove the economy into the ditch by driving up energy costs on day one. Great Recession was manufactured propaganda by democrat Pravda.
Biden followed suit by reimposing Obama energy restrictions that trump had lifted in addition to printing $1400 weekly Covid checks.
You should not be allowed to vote.

The favorite metric of the blob supporters (until it isn’t) is the DJIA. It rose 149% under Obama. Care to explain how that is “driving [the economy] into the ditch”?

Woulda Coulda Shoulda---Same old democrap, let us know when ANY of your predictions appear. Here's your tin hat.

Trump Claims Tariffs Brought in Trillions of Dollars

Because they did! Trump has inked trillions in trade deals for American workers and industries. I know Democrats hate that the swine but it's fact! Trump let other countries know they can't take a giant shit on us on trade.

Now if we can just rid ourselves of the traitors in congress who sell out American workers and industries to other countries to line their own pockets we'd make even more progress.

Those useless gas bags in Washington did nothing while other countries robbed us blind for decades. Stealing our jobs and entire industries as the corrupt Washington swamp traded them away to line their own pockets.

Tariffs were our primary weapon in fighting for FAIR trade.

Why didn't you just keep going back. Obama inherited an economy that had no place to go but up. LOL, You just aren't very smart.

You dumb shit, tariffs are taxes imposed on the country refusing to play fair. Trump's tariffs have resulted in more revenue which goes to support our American bureaucracies instead of taxing the American people. Plus, they are not set in stone as you so ignorantly portray. In some cases, draconian tariffs put on American goods are met with an equal tariff on their goods. You really have a shallow understanding of what is going on. Turn off the MSM and ignore your Democrat/Marxist minders.
Imposed on the country?

Ya know who pays em?

American consumers

Okay...so now we should have a trade surplus?

You said Trillions--plural.

In 2023, the trade deficit wasn’t even a trillion dollars:

If what your blob is saying is true, we should have a trade surplus by 2027, right?

A simple yes or no will suffice.
