Murder rate lowest in history. Nice job, President Trump.

You suffer, kyzr, from a bad case of TDS.
TDS doesn't explain why 400,000 Americans died from drug overdoses during Biden, and why Trump's war on the drug cartels is saving about 200,000 American lives during his 2nd term. That is a lot of lives saved.

"The new data show that overdose deaths involving opioids decreased from an estimated 55,296 in 2024 to 44,564 in 2025. Overdose deaths involving cocaine and psycho-stimulants (like methamphetamine) decreased as well."

Looks like both terms had good numbers.

How many for each year from 2020 to 2025 died from fentanyl and how many were saved by federal programs.

Here is the most reliable, sourced picture of fentanyl‑involved overdose deaths from 2020–2025, followed by what we can say—carefully—about how many people were saved by federal programs.

Because this is a politically sensitive topic, please confirm with trusted primary sources such as CDC, NCHS, and ONDCP.

1. Fentanyl‑Involved Overdose Deaths, 2020–2025

The CDC does not publish a single table labeled “fentanyl deaths per year,” but fentanyl is the dominant synthetic opioid in U.S. overdose mortality. The best available numbers come from CDC National Vital Statistics System (NVSS) and CDC provisional overdose surveillance.

Below is what the CDC provides for all drug overdose deaths, which are overwhelmingly driven by fentanyl since 2020:

2020

  • Final overdose deaths: ~91,799

2021

  • Final overdose deaths: ~106,699

2022

  • Final overdose deaths: ~109,680

2023

  • Final overdose deaths: ~107,941 (from Drug Overdose Deaths in the United States, 2003–2023)

2024

  • Final data not yet published; CDC SUDORS shows 53,336 deaths across 43 jurisdictions (not full U.S.).

2025

  • Only provisional data exist; CDC has not released final 2025 overdose totals.
Important: These totals include all overdose deaths. Fentanyl accounts for 70–80% of them in recent years, but CDC does not yet publish complete fentanyl‑only totals for 2024–2025.

2. How Many Were “Saved by Federal Programs”?

There is no federal dataset that counts “lives saved” in a year. However, we do have one major, verifiable number:

Naloxone reversals funded by federal State Opioid Response (SOR) grants

  • States have used federal SOR funds to purchase nearly 9 million naloxone kits and
  • Have reversed more than 500,000 overdoses using those kits (cumulative, not per year).
This is the only federally verified national figure for “lives saved.”

Other federal actions (not quantified as “lives saved”)

  • Expansion of naloxone access in federal facilities
  • FDA approval of OTC naloxone
  • White House Challenge to expand naloxone training nationwide
These programs increase access but do not publish annual counts of rescues.

3. What We

  • There is no CDC or ONDCP dataset showing “how many people were saved each year” by federal programs.
  • There is no annual breakdown of naloxone reversals by year, state, or program.
  • Claims that “X thousand were saved in 2024” or “Y% increase in rescues” are not supported by federal data.

The only confirmed national number is the 500,000+ cumulative reversals from SOR‑funded naloxone distribution.

You guys are such idiots. And dishonest too, why didn't you post an actual source?

After an historic surge starting in 2020, the homicide rate in the United States has declined sharply. Over the past three years, homicides have fallen by an average of 16% per year; this includes CCJ’s finding of a 21% drop from 2024 to 2025 in a sample of 35 large cities.

So it has been dropping since 2020. Wait, didn't you guys claim crime was going up under the Biden administration? But what is driving this decline,

  • Record investments in and coordination of CVI and violence prevention efforts, often supported by federal American Rescue Plan Act funds

  • I see the primary driver of the ongoing crime decline as the result of a variety of federal responses to the pandemic. Data from 2024 and 2025 indicate that the decline has been broad-based, with almost all large cities, as well as suburban and rural areas, experiencing simultaneous decreases. The FBI national crime statistics for 2024 (the most recent year for which we have federal data, because 2025 numbers have not yet been released) show declines across all violent and property crime categories. This suggests that the decline is caused by national, not local, forces.

The largest driver of the decline appears to be the federal American Rescue Plan Act, which allocated $362 billion to state, local, tribal, and territorial governments to help address pandemic-related impacts. These funds helped stabilize local governments reeling from lost pandemic revenue, and included broad prevention funding for employees who work most directly with young people at risk of violence and victimization, including teachers, counselors, community health workers, and other support personnel. A smaller but important federal investment, the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, provided $15 billion to states for targeted, primarily community-based services, including community violence prevention, mental health services, and school safety.

There you have it. First, we don't even have the numbers for 2025 yet so Trump can't be given credit for anything. In the linked article several professionals gave credit to Biden and the American Rescue Plan, which passed the House without a single Republican vote
Lowest in HISTORY!

Sorry that makes you butthurt.

Nice job, President Trump!

What the hell does that have to with the OP? Flipping troll.

Look, this thread is indicative of how STUPID Trump supporters are. The FBI has not released the crime data for 2025. Instead, the OP mentions select cities, and what is wild, they are "assuming" the continued decline in the murder rate that started with BIDEN. So it is all in Biden's court. And yet it is whoo hoo, go Donald.

Hell, it is comical. Sun comes up in the morning, nice clear day, way to go Donald. Flipping dark, damp, and rainy, damn that Biden. Damn Paslov's dogs had more sense than you dudes.
Why do you want more dead Americans?
