State Board of Education member wants resolution to push back against Obama administration's transgender guidelines
State Board of Education member wants resolution to push back against Obama administration's transgender guidelines
June 3, 2016:
You mean testosterone-infused adolescent boys might say on any given day that they are "transitioning" to gain access to the girls showers and locker room in the gym? Never! And if one of those boys sexually assaults a girl there, the schools might get sued by the girl's parents? C'mon....that's not even a remote legal risk to schools..
You mean that actual real women and girls should have priority in consideration when allowing people to get naked behind doors marked "women"???? What kind of blasphemy is this?!
I hope Nebraska has the 'nads to join the lawsuit.

Nebraska Attorney General Doug Peterson, making a rare appearance before the state board Thursday, said he believes that the federal guidance is “unlawful” because it changes federal rules without prior notice or allowing public comment....He said the guidance, by not requiring students to provide medical evidence of transitioning to the opposite sex, “puts school districts in a very difficult position.”.....

...Peterson said his office has not made a final determination on whether Nebraska would join other states in a Texas lawsuit challenging the guidance or whether Nebraska would file a legal challenge of its own....In the lawsuit, the states contend that the federal government has a duty to “enforce the law of the land, and not rewrite it by administrative fiat.”....Peterson said the guidance doesn’t consider the effect that the policy could have on children who’ve been victims of sexual assault...
