Speaking on Sophy Ridge on Sunday, Jamie Wallis, Conservative MP for Bridgend, said the process will be "challenging and difficult" with "lots of hurdles" but he can go at his own pace.

But you have to respect his courage in coming out at a time when his own party is waging a culture war against the trans community.
