Tomorrow...

Every day I watched Marines go on patrol not knowing if they would return to base or not... sometimes they came back without everyone who went out... and some were friends... One had twin girls who will never meet their father.... I look at it this way... everyone of them would want me to party... so I will... the town is going to have a parade and a BBQ with live music and I'm going...
Tomorrow Morning at Sunrise... I'm going to squeeze into my dress blues and help raise the flag....

It's not national BBQ day. It's a national day of rememberance of those fallen so we can HAVE family BBQ's and such. They interviewed a 20 year veteran today on Fox. He said "Absolutely celebrating memorial day with a BBQ is just fine. We fight and die so you can do that. We only ask that you remember who died to give you the freedom to enjoy that BBQ. Eat up!"

Just like today we celebrated Memorial Day with a great American race. Car racing is in our blood. Many fought and died so we could watch cars go around in a circle at 230mph. Hoorah!
LOL, Go like hell....turn left.....go like hell....turn left.

Trump said they were losers.

Unsubstantiated fake news.

Zach Fuentes, a former Trump aide said it was bullshit:

Referring to Gen. John Kelly, who was with Trump during the trip as his chief of staff, he said: "I did not hear POTUS call anyone losers when I told him about the weather. Honestly, do you think General Kelly would have stood by and let ANYONE call fallen Marines losers?"

John Bolton also said it was bullshit. There is ZERO proof he actually said this. Nothing more than an anonymous accusation from an unnamed Trump aide.

Just another instance of lies repeated enough times by liberals that some actually begin to believe them.

.

I took some flowers to place on my husband's grave today, in the VA Cemetery. A small group of people was scrubbing headstones. It was a mother and her three children. I spoke with her for a moment and she explained that she wanted her children to know how special a day this is, instead of just being another day off for no particular reason.

This is America.

Happy Memorial Day.

.
You don't have a happy Memorial Day. I hate when people say that.

Aww, too bad that's not actually a real pic, or that it has nothing to do with a soldier KIA. The guy died in a motorcycle accident. That photo is at least 10 years old.

The link doesn't say it's not a real pic.

It just makes a claim the guy died in a motorcycle accident.

This could be true or untrue.

Taking into account the lies about Biden and Russian collusion....Snopes could easily be lying about this one too.
Especially if they're using it to attack Trump.

They confirmed who it was and why she laying on the ground. It had nothing to do with being KIA, or memorial day.

If you google her husbands name you can easily find his memorial, and in it, mentions he was killed in a motorcycle accident in 2013. Just 5 min of research confirmed what Snopes said was true.

Unfortunately, on September 21, 2013, while riding his motorcycle on Palomar Mountain near San Diego, he lost control on a winding mountain road and was killed when thrown into the path of an oncoming vehicle.

Here is the original article where other pics of her laying on the ground can be found.

I'm not saying the photo isn't sad, but it shouldn't be used as a Memorial Day photo, which would hint that he was killed in battle. He was killed riding his motorcycle.

I really don't think she cares if he died in battle or on a motorcycle.
And anyone who's been in a firefight knows that any time you die is no more important than any other.

War sucks. And sometimes the ones that die in battle are the lucky ones.
The survivors have to live with the memories.
My point was there are people who are hurting this Memorial Day.
Making fun of it, or arguing over it here is inappropriate.

Yes, survivors do have to live with memories. But memories of what? Hubby killed on a motorcycle? That's not Memorial Day. Memorial Day is not about everyone who ever died. It's about those who died defending our country, not those who died riding their Harleys.

I'm not making fun of it, and I'm not arguing over it. I'm simply pointing out that posting a photo on Memorial Day (weekend) of a woman lying in front of a grave stone doesn't mean it has anything to do with Memorial Day. And in this case, it's misleading. I don't like to mislead people.

There are people hurting this Memorial Day. I don't deny that. Not one bit. I'm just saying lets not post photos under the wrong context. It doesn't help our cause. I discovered it was a fake Memorial Day pic simply doing an image search that took 5 seconds. The image is all over the internet, and come to find out, has nothing to do with Memorial Day, when we honor those men and women who served and died IN BATTLE. Not on motorcycles.

I draw a HUGE line between Veterans day and Memorial Day. Veterans day is about the people still alive who fought. Memorial Day is about those who died in battle fighting for our freedom.

Do you think anyone friggen cares? The picture is supposed to symbolize what many families are going thru on Memorial Day. Memorial Day is as much for the people who died as the people who remember them. Celebrating tomorrow at least reminds them that somebody cares.
