That has always been my concern. Not the politics of it, or the issues, or the policies.

This has always been what it says about us. So it's fair to wonder if we're even CAPABLE of recovering from this.

The first time around people were so angry with the establishment a minority voted for a persuasive conman. There is no excuse for the second time given what was publicly known about him. The record showed he was unfit in every way imaginable. trump 2.0 being proof positive of it.

Bond yields are moving higher as hopes for an interest cut fade away with the backdrop of more inflation to come. WTI is approaching $100 and the physical shortage of oil in Europe/Asia isn't yet reflected in the price of Brent crude. When it is WTI goes higher and so does the price of gas.
